December 1st

Here is our son Mike. He is the one in the back wearing a hat. He is a member of The Lions Club, and they are doing their biggest fundraiser of the year. Selling Christmas trees. The man in the front is our mayor, who is also a Lions Club member. The Lions Clubs do really good work in schools and other places. If you're thinking of buying a real tree this year, the Lions Club cannot be beat for helping out your community.

Here are our grandkids under their Christmas tree a few years ago.

“I wander forth this chill December dawn:
John Frost and all his elves are out, I see,
As busy as the elfin world can be,
Clothing a world asleep with fleecy lawn.”
~Robert Buchanan

Good for them. I have a lot of respect for the Lions Club and have family and friends who are members in two other countries. It is a great organization. Very nice photo of your son and the mayor, a very cute one with your granddaughters. Wishing you all a great weekend Ginny :)

hope they sell all their trees, looks like it is pretty cold out there. I saw on TV there is a shortage of trees this year and that shortage will hurt the fund raisers like this club. evidently your club had no trouble getting trees to sell...

The Lion's Club does wonderful work and it's great that your son is involved.
I hope they sell out and make a lot of money for the cause.
Darling photo of your Grands under the tree.
Our tree is and has been artificial for many years.
We were all getting allergies from the live trees and after the boys were getting older we went to artificial.
It really looks real and people are always touching it to see if it is.
We loved the tradition of cutting down a tree and it was fun while it lasted but...
Mud, rain and sometimes bugs got old...or maybe it was us that got old...(:0)

The kids are so cute and I spot a very colorful tree there also. Great that your son wants to help his community, selling Christmas trees. It looks like it's really cold there, so doubly nice that he wants to do it to help his community.

Great photo of your son with the mayor! My dad is a member of Lions Club, too. I always loved going to their Christmas party when I was a kid :-)

The grade school in my little town sells Christmas trees as their biggest fundraiser as well. It's right across the street from my house and it's so much fun to watch all the folks come to buy their trees.

The Big Cat

Not to be outdone by that upstart The Big Cow and his friends, the Big Cat bought a new Easter bonnet! It is purrrfectly lovely! And while ...
