You may ask why we were even out in this. My next post will show and tell you why.
“It’s God’s breath that
forms the ice, it’s God’s
breath that turns lakes and rivers solid."
Job 37
I snapped these from the Target parking lot. The sun had just gone down, but the trees were hiding the very bottom part of the sunset. Life...

That is terrible Ginny. it just shows you ow life can change in a flash. .Have a lovely weekend
so sorry to hear this I didn't even see this on TV and we usually keep up with what's going on all over the United States we saw fires and things like that but nothing about an ice storm in Virginia. I assumed you were going for supplies or you had to go to the doctor cuz I know you wouldn't be driving in it for the fun of it. Hope the ice melts the day and that your power continues to stay on
Wow, so sorry to hear about this. Ice storms can be brutal. It's amazing how something that can make everything look so beautiful can also be so devastating. Hope everyone's power is restored soon
I had no idea! So sorry to hear about all the damage. Be careful out there.
Best,
Bonnie
Ginny!!!! So glad you are safe now.
It is beautiful from a distance... and horrible up close!
I didn't realize that the storm (and damage) was so bad in your area. I'm glad you're okay.
Oh Ginny!!! I'm so very sorry your area got hit like this! And all your food. *sigh* :-( I will be praying for swift recovery for you & all. Love you, Andrea xoxo
Ginny,
I did not hear anything about ice storms - was this the nor'easter? Is that how you say it. The first photo is beautiful - but not the others of course. I hope you didn't get any damage on your items. Sandie
Oh gosh, I’m so sorry to hear this. Damages look terrible there. I hope power will be back on for everyone soon. It’s too cold to be without it.
Stay safe xo
I didn't realize it was as bad as that Ginny, it looks and sounds awful! Do hope you didn't experience any damage to your house or vehicles. I also hope your power is back on by now.
Between the fires and ice, so much damage and lives lost. So very thankful you are well and trust it soon improves. I would never live up North or in California.
The ice can make the trees look beautiful, but it can also do so much damage. Being without power is also not any fun.
Oh my goodness! I know first hand how terrible ice can be. When I lived in NH (before I moved back to MA) we had a similar ice storm. So many were without power for such a long time! I will keep you all in my prayers.
It's amazing how something so destructive can look so beautiful.
So sad about this terrible disaster. So much damage and inconvenience. But am glad and thankful that you are safe. Hope there is no life loss.
Wow, Ginny! I did not realize!! And here I was complaining about getting 11 inches of snow from the storm. This puts things into perspective. Glad you are okay!!
