These are on Vancouver Island, where there is a big colony of them. They are quite rare.
There is a belief that seeing a White Raven signifies the impending end of the world. Nowadays that doesn't seem so far fetched!

That is certainly not the normal sighting. I have seen a white/albino Robin.
They are quite beautiful Ginny - but no, I did not know those even existed!
I did not know This! They are much prettier than the black ones!
They are very rare. You might like to read thiss article Ginny. https://www.reshareworthy.com/white-ravens/
They're luesistic. They have the DNA of black ravens, but lack the pigment. Most bird species have the rarities like this. If they were albino they'd have pink eyes instead of black.
Gonna go read Margaret's link now.
Yep...article says no pigment, and not albino
They are really pretty. I have never heard of these. My first thought was albino but they don't have the pink eyes.
These are beautiful birds. I was not aware that there were white ravens, but I am thankful that you have shared this with us. I will be reading the article above as well. Always enjoy learning about animals.
We had a red-tailed hawk in our yard yesterday. I hadn't seen one in a long time.
I've never heard of white raven before. They are beautiful!
I knew about this, but haven't seen them, so pretty!

I have never heard of white ravens, and they are really kind of weird. excellent photos of these strange birds.. they fit right in with all the melting icebergs and earthquakes, storms and other signs of the times.
Those white ravens are very striking. I have seen other white animals but never a raven. Thanks for sharing these photos :)
