We have large Four O'Clock bushes all across the side and back of our house.
They got their name because they are closed up most of the day. They only open in late afternoon, around four o'clock. I love them because the flowers have so many different patterns.

and die from too much light or too much dark, if twilight were not.”

They are all so beautiful. I tried growing them a couple of times and our zone just isn't good for them.
They are really pretty. I wish I was good at gardening I would plant some of those.
they are such joyful colors and I don't remember seeing these before, which at this time in my life doesn't mean that much. they are gorgeous. its good to have flowers blooming later in the day
We used to have these all around the house. These are lovely.
Had some in Colorado...some foolish man sprayed too close to them with weed killer and they never came back!! (Foolish man is none other than Bud)
Are those Morning Glories?
The blossoms are beautiful.
😊❤️
Gosh Ginny I have never heard of 4 o'clock bushes but they are very pretty. I am just about to go off again and this time to Sweden where my granddaughter Anna is getting married so I will be away for 2 weeks.

Wow, what a variety of patterns and colors. I have never seen the 4 o'clocks in person. Fascinating for sure. Do they then stay open until it gets dark?

They are so pretty! I like the unusual color combinations.
So pretty! I had four o'clocks around the back of our house many years ago. I'd forgotten how pretty they are!
Never heard of these flowers but boy are they pretty!! Worth waiting till 4 o'clock to see them. :)
Wow, they are beautiful Ginny!!! :-) What fun colors!!!
They are pretty. Is this a perennial where you live? I just know them as annuals.
Oooooo, those are beautiful! They kind of look like tropical flowers. The bushes must look wonderful on the side and back of your house. They so remind me of Summertime. : )
