The Department Of Public Works has this cute guy sitting out front. Made from barrels and other things they had. Or maybe it is a girl, looks like a little skirt there.
They need workers very badly. Even for the truck that comes around from time to time to collect tree limbs and large trash. It does not come out anymore, because they have no drivers. We are only one on a huge list of people who need it. We finally had to pay someone to take our pile away.

Baggy pants I would say.. LOL... more airy and comfortable for the workers! Over here, we don't have to advertise for workers this way, Public Works Department will surely be filled with application forms the moment they advertise in the papers.
Well isn't that clever. Hope he attracts new employees. I can't help wondering where people are getting the money to live on these days. It seems so many are not working. I suppose some work from home but how many jobs have that capability.

too bad they can't hire the cute he/she worker as a robot. we are in the same thing you are. they no longer pick up yard trash once a week, but whenever they get to it, they stopped recycle pick up, and are still picking up our garbage but sometimes late or next date. no one wants to work. before the pandemic everything was great, now there are no workers. makes no sense,

They don't want to work, when they can be paid by the government, not to work.

I'm with the rest of you that say how do the people live without working.
We are going through the very same thing here on the West Coast. Every business has help wanted signs and have cut back work hours...
I just don't get it. I guess I'm old fashion and believe in honest pay for an honest days labor.

People are so creative. Your quote is so true. It seems that the real workers of today are not noticed, and they are the ones who deserve recognition, but they just keep on doing their jobs diligently. I admire them completely.
