A few days ago, we walked into a local store and saw this overhead.

The Trumpet
Every year, this Trumpeting Swan visits the same small pond for a few weeks. He has no mate with him and is all alone.
He came again a few weeks ago. He has a number on him, I don't know how it has stayed on over the years.
It was so cold that you could see him breathing steam out of his beak, see it? He looks so delicate, but must be very strong!
“As the
sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke and the
voice of God answered him.”
Exodus 19
The
seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which
said: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his
Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever.”

The Answer
Remember when I told you in my last post that I would not be giving you the answer to the mystery object, because I did not know myself? Well, that has changed! And the reason is The Marvelous Mad Snapper. She found out what it is! She can find out what anything is on the computer! So, drumroll...it is a Lighted Patio Pillar. Sold at Costco for $79.99. A few of you guessed it; how clever!

Mystery Object
Today we drove past an apartment that I have posted before because they usually have all kinds of decorations out front. But today all they had was this, plus some old Christmas things.
“Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not
all sleep, but we will all be changed— in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at
the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised
imperishable, and we will be changed.”

The Winter House
We passed by this house that was decorated with so many perfect winter things. Sleds and skates, even their mailbox.
“It is the life of
the crystal, the architect of the flake, the fire of the frost, the soul of the
sunbeam. This crisp winter air is full of it.”

Alpacas
You may remember my little shelf of Alpacas for Christmas.
I took it down in January and made this for the winter.

The Spinners
No, I am not talking about the singing group from the fifties. I am posting about the wind spinners. So many are out now! I had thought they were mostly used in the spring and summer. But they now seem to be used all year round!
Even non-spinning spinners!
He parted the heavens and came down;
dark
clouds were under his feet.
He mounted the cherubim and flew;
he soared[a] on
the wings of the wind.
He made darkness his canopy around him—
the dark[b] rain
clouds of the sky.

The Path
In my previous posts, the large herons were two hundred dollars each. The ducks were just under sixty five dollars each.
I came upon these mushrooms growing like a winding path.

Show Me The Money
Remember these life-size metal herons from my last post?
I was back at The Garden Center today, and they had put out more.
These cute ducks were surrounding them now, also life-size.
I now know the prices! The Herons and Ducks are each sold separately. How about taking a guess? I'll tell you in my next post. It seems to me that men do not like these money guessing games as much as women, have you found that to be?

Blue Monday
Here is something else they had at the Garden Center. A pair of life-size Blue Herons. They were so beautiful and impressive! I wish I had looked at the price. Next time I go there, I will check out the price tag if they have not been sold, then you can guess!
