The White House

We watched Jill Biden on T.V. as she gave a tour of the Christmas White House. It was really good. Here are some photos I took. This is an entryway.

The ceiling has snowflakes!

This is the woodland hall. They made birch tree trunks for it.

It is lined with various forest animals.

An extremely large gingerbread house that is a model of the White House

Bells were made from painted paper cups and hung with ribbons in front of the window.

In the kitchen, paint dipped wooden spoons hung from the mantel.

These was a room with red, white & blue "Gold Star" trees. They were decorated with garlands of gold stars, one star each for our soldiers who died in the line of duty. A name and date was on each star.

And there was a room with trees for all the teachers of the year. The ornaments were made by their students.

A woman’s place is in the house. The White House.

WOW, everything is gorgeous. Can you imagine how long it must have taken to do all that decorating? I love the ornaments for the teachers. Those are so cute.

Hi Ginny, to answer your question on my blog..
The Restoration Hardware building(store) is a good 2 hour drive from our home in the Sacramento area.
The building is in an area called the Dog Patch which is in the San Francisco Bay wharves and docks. There used to be all the heavy shipping commerce coming and going from that area. It is now becoming revitalized.

So many pretty things. The bells with ribbons is creative and looks so nice. I have a blog friend who has a woodland tree. I think she would like that woodland hall with the forest animals. I love the ceiling with snowflakes. The entryway looks so Christmassy. It all looks great.

A U.S. Fast passport is like a plane ticket to the rest of the globe. I can't overstate the importance of always carrying this tiny blue book when travelling. A U.S. passport makes many kinds of travel possible for pleasure, business, or to see loved ones who live in other countries. The confidence to make an out-of-the-country trip at a moment's notice is invaluable. The U.S. Department of State deserves praise for creating a passport application system that is both user-friendly and quick.
