My Lifesaver plant is blooming so much, and this late in the season!!
So named because the blooms look like Lifesavers candy.
This is what a new bloom looks like before it opens.
And this is what it looks like when it is dying and withering.
And this is what the shrunken shriveled up dead blooms look like when they drop off.
Can you imagine me screaming and running? Because spotting one from a distance on the rug or a table, they look just like spiders!
Very unnerving.

They do look like Lifesavers, before they fall off. 😊 After that they would scare me too.
It is such an unusual plant. The bloom looks like it could be at home in a prehistoric garden. The dried bit does look like a spider.
That flower looks like toy! Unique and peculiar plant!
Aloe, Ginny, I woke up to NO GINNY on my blogs and quickly came to see if you posted. hope all is well and you went to bed early. this plant is so amazing to me. yours is the only one i have ever seen or heard of... it does look like a spider
Amazing plant, I've never seen it except here on your blog. I wonder if Nature had a purpose in making those withered flowers look like spiders?
That is the most fascinating plant I've ever seen. Those dried up blooms do look like little spiders.
Love that quote at the end.
oh my they do look like lifesavers! It's a very unusual looking plant. I'm not sure I've ever seen one before. I'm always seeing new things or older things from a new perspective when I visit your blog. I love that...and you find the greatest quotes!
I remember your life safer plant. Truly amazing.
The blossoms on this plant are beautiful.
These are the most fascinating succulants I have ever seen. I would love to have one myself.
HaHa, I can imagine seeing one of the shriveled blooms on the floor would make me think it was a spider too.

That is one strange looking plant! I have never heard of or seen it before. Very cool!
Isn't that something. It was interesting to see the different stages of the lifesaver plant. They look so bold when alive, and when they get shriveled up, they look like tiny petals. Thanks for sharing, Ginny.

I don't know why but those "flowers" creep me out. As do spiders. xoxo
