Today we went to the grocery store. and lo and behold, there were pumpkins outside. Not only that, but there were also several YELLOW ones! BRIGHT yellow. And they were not painted. I don't think I have ever seen a pumpkin in this color, have you?

No, I have never seen a yellow pumpkin before. I think I will stick to the orange for now :)
No, they must be new. they make a nice contrast to the orange.
Can't say that I've ever seen yellow ones either. I wonder if it's a different variety.
I grew a yellow pumpkin a few years ago. I didn't know it would be yellow so it was a surprise. We had a giant vine but only one pumpkin because the little neighborhood bunnies kept eating the little ones.
I have seen yellow ones with all those bumps on them, but not like this.we never know what we will see when your blog post pops up.. you find the most interesting and different things. I was about to say not here, but since I rarely go anywhere but WM and doctor offices, they could be everywhere here too
No I don't believe I have ever seen a yellow pumpkin, and I now wish I had two orange and one yellow right off that shelf, to sit beside Skelly on the apple-green bench until Thanksgiving! So beautiful. And what a wonderful quote. Rhett is learning his colors and I wish you could hear him say "lello" ... hahaa xoxo
I have never seen a yellow pumpkin... how interesting! Wonder if the meat is the same as the orange one, to make pumpkin pie?
They are so bright and cheerful. I bet when they are carved into a jack o lantern the candlelight will really glow. :-)
Love, Carla
I think pumpkins come in a variety of shades, including white and a muddy green color too. the yellow is really pretty..I too wonder if the flesh is yellow too.

Pumpkins come in many colors now and shapes too.
Nice!
New to me, they would offer nice contrast to any autumn display!
I have never seen these yellow pumpkins before. They are unusually pretty. Would look great on a porch in the Summer. ; )
