Mystery Yard

When we first drove quickly past this yard, I thought they had planted corn all over their front yard. On the way back, I saw that it is not corn! So what IS it? It covers most of their small front yard.

The need for mystery is greater than the need for an answer.

I have no idea what the plants are, but I love those quotes. ❤️

The tree and leaves are lovely. The grey dots in the image seem artistic.

I have no clue what those are. I even tried to use my phones to identify them. Each picture got me different result.

Look up milkweed....that is what these are. Monarch butterflies love them.

I agree, they look like milkweed. It's not something people usually plant though, it grows wild. Very interesting to see it in someones front yard!

Well, that front yard IS a mystery. Now, I'm curious what type of plants those are! Be sure to let us know if you found out. I like the brick style of the house.

Have a great week, Ginny.

Oh my gosh that is growing in someone's yard? Can't say it is my favorite, but maybe there is some reason. Wonder what it is?

I’m almost positive it’s milkweed. Around here, they’re encouraging people to grow them for the bees; even giving away seeds.

Goodness! I'm in the dark as to what that plant is called but they certainly are ambitious! xoxo

Strange for the front yard but if they are good for the Monarch Butterflies and bees they are worth it.
We need both of these so badly.

Hi, thanks for commenting and asking the question on the last photo. I guess I just converted it to black and white and added contrast and shadows with a highlight on the center. Sometimes it is fun to just play around with my photos.

I too think it is milkweed. Should have plenty of monarch butterflies around there soon.
