Heading out to find the setting sun, you can see that we were a bit too late.
No matter. On the way home, I thought the cemetery looked lovely in the growing twilight.
Coincidental that we came upon the license plate?
Gravestones lean in twilight’s
breath,
soft as silence, still as death.
Moths drift low on velvet wings,
night begins its whisperings.
A single star, a lantern high—
hope flickers in the darkening sky.

Ginny, lovely photos and poem!!!
Beautiful pictures!
that header pic is stunning, I love it love it... so appealing to me. I do love black and bright colors as you already know...
Maybe not a sunset but still beautiful. I like the poem too
Oooh! I love these pics, especially the golden cemetery. I find old cemeteries so beautiful.
Very neat header photo Ginny. I find it interesting how so many great photos come from taking pictures in a cemetery...these are so pretty.
Your poem and photos are excellent, Ginny!
Love the silhouette photos!
I break for graveyards and cemeteries too! I love them, and shooting them. Love the silhouette. I worked on silhouettes last week with one of my larger minis. Not really even a mini, she's a crow/raven thing. Very cool. Anyway, loved your photos. Very, very cool looking.
I love your cemtery silhouettes!
The photos are lovely.!!
You just rekindle my desires to take more silhouette shots!
Those are really cool pictures, Ginny. The first one with the sunset and the lights from the road is neat, and those cemetery ones are so lovely in their own way. Isn't that something that you came across that license plate - it sounds like they have a lot of respect for the cemetery.

FABULOUS cemetery shots, Ginny! WOW I don't think I have ever seen a tree silhouetted in a cemetery at sundown before! And you know I need me one of those I BRAKE FOR CEMETERIES bumper stickers! xoxo
That was a unique cemetery shot!
Lovely contrasts between dark and light. That's a lovely poem.
Those first two photos are my favorites--especially the cemetery one.
Did you write the cemetery poem? I really like it.
I'm also loving the cat in your new header. Those eyes...
