The Dragons

Some of you may remember the house that was actually painted and decorated for each different holiday. For about two years it has sat with old broken Christmas decorations, looking deserted. So you can imagine my surprise when we passed it last week!

They did have a couple of large, splendid dragons.

And there was this one in front of Lowe's. Not nearly as fancy or pretty, but much larger.

“Fairy tales are more than true: not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.” — Neil Gaiman

Close your eyes, the stars are near,

 Even dragons rest, my dear.

Wings tucked tight and fire low,

Dreams drift soft where moonbeams glow.

I'm glad they (or someone) is decorating again. I remember how the house was repainted for the various holidays. That was incredible.

My goodness, those people went all out didn’t they?

I see a couple spots painted purple. I wonder if they were going to paint the whole thing and then changed their mind. They sure went all out. I wonder why they didn't decorate for all that time

I wonder why they stopped decorating? Well, they’re back now. Looking forward to what the months ahead will uncover as they always go all out in their next holiday. know you’ll be watching and reporting on it as soon as something changes!

That's a neat dragon you saw at Lowe's. And it matches the orange pumpkins on display. I like this dragon quote too.

Have a sweet October week, Ginny.

Hi Ginny, I remember that house, I am glad someone is caring for it. I hate to see homes abandoned.
