A Trainload Of Scarecrows

We passed this house with the most delightful things in the yard. They had a homemade train full of scarecrows!!

Here is their front door

This is the house that made planters from old tires. They paint them for the seasons.

And they have this planter made from tires and a large bucket.

"Through twilight fields it thundered on, a train of straw-bound sentinels, faces stitched with silence, eyes of burlap gazing at the stars. Each carried the hush of harvest, their journey a hymn to forgotten soil."

That scarecrow train is so cute. I love all the pumpkins on their front porch. And the tire cups are delightful too. What a festive house decorated for the Autumn season.

Happy Thanksgiving week, Ginny!

Cute... our son Sam's girlfriend would like to create planters from her old tires. I will have to show her these ideas.

OMG. That's a fun yard to pass! I wonder if they put snowmen and snowwomen in there during the winter months! What a hoot that'd be too.
