This & That

I have read on your blogs that many of you have been dealing with high winds. We have been, too. The wind blew me into a pole a couple days ago. And on the way to the grocery store we saw this.

The wind had blown the entire roof off a local garage. Firetrucks were out checking all the wind damage.

Anyway, upon reaching the grocery store, I found that M&M's has several new spring flavors out. I bought a small pack of the lemon.

They are shaped like round balls. I like orange with chocolate, but lemon is altogether another matter. Most of them went in the trash.

Wow! Yes, the wind can do a lot of damage!
M&M's I usually don't buy. However, I do buy a pudding that tastes like lemon meringue pie. LOL! It is quite good. When you open it (it is packaged in single serving sizes) you first see the white meringue...the lemon part is beneath the meringue, and you stir it and eat it.
I love lemon water and lemon tarts as well, and I love a bit of lemon or lime juice when I make a salad...either with avocado oil or extra virgin olive oil.
I love what you did with your blog background and header, Ginny! Beautiful, refreshing and sunny colours!

I have not seen those candies - I do love lemon. I hope you okay after hitting into that pole! Take care and watch out for moving poles. But seriously it looks like some fierce wind! Be careful.

We did have some high winds a few days ago but nothing like that. Wow, it really did a number on that building.
I'll stick with good old original m&ms. I don't think I would like lemon flavored.

You all did have a lot of damage from the winds. Glad you are OKay after being blown into the pole.. Thankfully the winds have calmed down for right now in our area. Interesting...Lemon Meringue M & M's. I've not seen these in our area yet. I like lemon, but I'm not sure I would like these. but hey, I would give them a try.

Wow, that was a lot of wind damage!
I saw the lemon M&M's in our Walgreens and thought I wasn't too sure about them. I don't think I'll be trying them.

We had a couple of strong gusts, Ginny, but nothing to write home about. I'm grateful for that as the last thing we need is for any branch/tree to fall on our roof. I quit eating any M&M's after I found out about the terrible food dyes in the shells. Hope they've cleaned up their act!

Oh my, that building is all torn apart from the winds! I didn't know you were having high winds in your area. So good of the firemen to check it all out. Orange with chocolate M&M's!..... I love that combination together. Will have to pick some up. I just had some M&M's yesterday! The lemon doesn't sound too appealing though. Have a good week, Ginny.

That must have been some storm!! I hardly buy any candy except sugar-free cough drops these days but the combo of lemon/chocolate does seem rather weird and I can't recall ever having come across it.

I hope you didn't get a bruise after blowing into the pole. That sounds very scary. Looks like the garage owners have a big job ahead of them dealing with insurance and such. The firefighters are always there to take care of us, they are truly marvelous. You find the best quotes. Thank you for the heads up on the lemon M & M's. I like lemon too but not sure of that combination. Now I know I wouldn't like it :)

Like others I haven't seen the new M&M's. I will have to give them a try just for the need to try new flavors. My favorite M&M's are the peanut butter ones. They are truly dangerous for me (:0)
Wow, that's some wind storm with a lot of damage. Be careful there ... no more trying to "climb the pole". Glad you are safe.

I would love to find those m&m's and try them - I love new things.
Gosh that was a LOT of wind damage for sure. Hope your house was okay.

Wind certainly does a lot of damage. I like the 'normal' M&Ms :)

We have had windy days here in nashua, NH, as well but I haven't seen anything like the damage you showed, Ginny. Hope that you (or your car) didn't sustain any injury or damage after being blown into a pole.

Wow, you are brave going out in that kind of wnd. Glad you didn't get hurt when you were blown into the pole.
Along with being paranoid about slipping on ice, I also have a fear of being blown over by the wind. I stayed in the days we had high winds.
