White Breath On The Mountain

Yesterday's doctor appointment did not go as planned. As most of you know, we live in the Blue Ridge Mountains at the foot of Afton Mountain. Normally they look like this.

But not yesterday. Fog can come quickly and thickly.

And so it was yesterday. This is what it looks like on the way to the top. Sometimes even worse.

We had to turn around and come back home. Rescheduled the appointment. Back down in town, the fog was thinner and rather pretty.

The mountain hides, but the hush remains.

I am very sorry the weather got in the way of your appointment. It was very foggy around here too but not nearly as bad.

Your scenery is beautiful around your way, when you can see it :)

I love the fog when it's not too thick to see. I'm sorry your doctor's appointment needed to be rescheduled --- that's a real nuisance. It's such a relief to have them over with. ❤️

Beautiful photos, Ginny, including the last fog pictures.
Sorry that you had to reschedule your appointment.
Right now we are getting snow and blowing snow ❄️ in Montreal.
Apparently the Montreal bus maintenance workers are possibly going on strike again...this time the first week in March.
I have my appointment with my family doctor on March 2nd. Just great.
Hopefully I will be able to take the bus.
If not I will have to take a taxi.

It's good that the doctor's appointment could be postponed. Thick fog is very dangerous on the road... I once drove two exits too far on the motorway because I couldn't see the exits on my way home from work... you shouldn't put yourself in situations like that if you don't have to.
You took some lovely photos.
You live in a wonderful area... sending you warm greetings.
Have a happy weekend. Today it's raining into our snow...
