The Blue Pinwheels

Every April, I see blue pinwheels around town. April is child abuse prevention month. Pinwheels represent childlike whimsy and lightheartedness and the vision for a world where all children grow up happy, healthy, and safe.

Blue pinwheels serve as a hopeful, highly visible symbol that raises awareness, sparks conversations, and reminds communities to protect children.

“Kindness can be the first safe place.”

Love the blue pin wheels and hate child abuse of any kind. I haven't seen this campaign around here but I'm not in the city. I'll have to pay attention.

Beautiful awareness campaign. We should never have to have this kind of campaign to make people aware. Child abuse is horrible.

It’s good when something so small can carry a message that makes people pause and think about what really matters.
