. Here is the flag of our next-door neighbor.
I found these very tiny Daffodils down the street; almost like baby ones.
And every year I post the house a couple blocks away. They have bulbs in their yard instead of grass.
Do you know the difference between daffodils and jonquils? Well, here it is:
All
jonquils are daffodils, but not all daffodils are jonquils.
“Daffodil”
is the big umbrella for the whole Narcissus family.
“Jonquil”
is one specific subgroup within it.

These are gorgeous, Ginny! I had no idea about the difference between daffodils and jonquils. Thanks for sharing. Happy Easter to you.
mother had jonquils and they do look different although a lot alike... I did not know this, thought it was North/south lanquage
I love the flag. All the daffodils are so pretty. I did not know the difference between jonquils and daffodils though.
I would not have guessed that your header picture was actually a flag. I enjoy seeing your creations Ginny. The daffodils in our area are all just about gone...glad I can still enjoy them through my blogging friends. They are so pretty and speak Spring to me.
Gorgeous daffodils, Ginny! I love that you defined the difference between daffodils and jonquils. I had no idea!
I didn't know the difference between daffodils and jonquils. Thanks for that info. I love them both. Ours aren't blooming yet, but soon!
Seeing all those beautiful daffodils and the flag was a real smile bringer Ginny, thank you :) That's very interesting about the difference. Thanks for that too.
The Daffys in our area are such early bloomers that they are finished for the year. They definitely are "Trumpets of Spring".
I did know the difference between the two but had forgotten it ... senior moments , you know ... (:0)

I love all the yellow! Happy SPRING!!!!
I love daffodils! I thought daffodils were part of the jonquil family, not vice versa. Thank you! ❤️
Ginny, I learned something new today - I did not know that. Interesting they planted that in their yard instead of grass.
Beautiful photos, Ginny. I love that house with all the bulbs in it. I did not know that about daffodils and jonquils. Can't wait until we see some green here. xo Diana
The daffodils are so good to see
I didn't know the difference between the flowers either.
Sure are pretty flowers.
The little daffodils are so pretty.
Not sure how to tell the difference between a jonquil and a regular daffodil. Is it size, or color?
Beautiful!! What does their yard look like after the bulbs bloom? Inquiring minds want to know....
Your neighbor's flag is pretty. Somehow the turquoise goes well with the yellow. I remember this house with the bulbs in front. That's a lot of flowers to water and take care of. But grass can be a challenge too if it's a large area. It looks like they have a big property.
Happy Easter to you, Ginny. : )
