The Nutcracker, SO Sweet

This evening we went to our city's production of The Nutcracker Suite, and it really was so sweet for us. You see, our very own granddaughter Anne Marie was a ballerina in the production! The two hours just flew by, and then she was at the edge of the stage with the others, taking her bow and getting her picture and flowers. Such poise for only six years old. A truly unforgettable evening with memories to cherish.

Howling

Howling at the Full Beaver Moon this week, just had to pop in really quick and show you, I'll see you soon!

“And also carefully guard yourselves so that you don’t look up into the skies and see the sun and moon and stars, all the constellations of the skies, and be seduced into worshiping and serving them. GOD set them out for everybody’s benefit, everywhere.”

Through A Cat's Eye

I have a surprise for you today, we have some new family members. Three, to be specific. We have gotten three cats. From zero to three is quite a jump! The thing is that we wanted two. One, and then another to play with and for company. But after we got our first, the big yellow Tabby Simba, we found these lovely Siamese litter mates. They had never been separated in their lives and were devoted to each other, and we got an offer to take them for free! So meet Simba, and Sunny & Cher!!! Sunny already had his name, and I have always wanted Sonny & Cher to reunite, so even though they are both males, I just couldn't help myself!!! Now Sonny & Cher are back together again! Our son was horrified at naming a male Cher. Probably thinking old mom has gone off the deep end, but I did that years ago! Sunny adores the girls and follows then everywhere. We had three cats the first year of our marriage, and a friend suggested we were trying to recreate that. So Phil & I now have matching phones on each end of our couch, matching remotes, and now matching cats!

GOD said, “It’s not good for the Man to be alone; I’ll make him a helper, a companion.” So GOD formed from the dirt of the ground all the animals of the field and all the birds of the air. He brought them to the Man to see what he would name them. Whatever the Man called each living creature, that was its name. The Man named the cattle, named the birds of the air, named the wild animals; but he didn’t find a suitable companion.

Thankful

This year, I have been in the struggle of my life, and yet I have so many more things to be thankful for. I realize that every minute of every day counts, that we should live only for this moment, because this monent is your life. And I realize that NO ONE knows when they are going to die, and that in itself is such a blessing and a reason to be very thankful. Here are my memories of Thanksgiving this year, a very unexpected and special one. We were invited to be with our family and they set up this tree of branches. Everyone got a colorful paper leaf to write on it what they are thankful for. After we ate, the leaves were taken down and read by Anne Marie and her cousin. We tried to guess who had written each one. Anne Marie made these turkey place markers, which look just a bit like a peacock. Maybe it is a Peaturk! A day of thanks, food, and family, Amen!

I am so glad to be back to blogging, but I will not be able to post and visit every day. Perhaps once or twice a week. Another thing I am so very thankful for, my blog followers, many who have become very good friends! You are a real blessing to me!!!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Hello my friends, it has been a long time, hasn't it? I have been missing you all and am anxious to get back to blogging, but my health has prevented me from it so far. Many weekends I have been in the E.R. and I have been hospitalized quite a few times. In fact, it has turned out to be our senior date night! Wild Friday nights in the E.R.! I have had quite a few problems, including a punctured colon. But enough of of that right now. I wanted to come back on Thanksgiving Day to show you all some of my favorite trees around here that I am so very thankful for, and to wish you all such a wonderful Thanksgiving!!! You will notice that there are almost no blogs on my sidebar, because I made a stupid mistake and lost them!! So please, I will not be able to visit you next time unless you comment and I can get your blog link back on my sidebar, be patient. I wish you all, my dear blog friends, the very best Thanksgiving!!!! I hope to be back very soon posting and visiting!
