Sparkles

Did you know that the inside of a chicory blossom has SPARKLES? Well, it does, and they are sprinkled on by God, all Mother Nature's sparkles. Not bad for what is called a common roadside weed. Check it out with your macro setting next time you pass one.

All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful:
The Lord God made them all.
Each little flower that opens,
Each little bird that sings,
He made their glowing colors,
He made their tiny wings.
Cecil Alexander

Hi Ginny, I think that is exactly what we all are . . .common roadside weeds. That is until the good Lord gives us His life . . . then we start our journey to become beautiful flowers :)
Thanks so much for all of your encouraging words and for entering my give-away.
God bless you.
Connie :)

Great photos Ginny. I did not know about the sparking inside of the Chicory bloom. It is beautiful. I do remember as a child my grandmother would add Chicory to coffee.

I did not know, and I will look next summer.

Love that poem...have you read the books by James Herriot that uses the first four lines as titles? They are wonderful....he was a vet.

I did NOT know that. But I do know that I LOVE the beautiful color of chicory blossoms. Wish I could have some in our yard, but they won't let me...against the law to plant seeds that are considered invasive weeds. Bummer.

True, not bad for a road side weed. God's miracle, it looks so pretty. Love the dazzling color.
Have a wonderful week Ginny :)

Sparkles indeed.... how beautiful, Ginny!!

Yes, by "bike" I mean motorcycle... a Harley Ultra-Classic. Oh how I wish I could drive it instead of just ride... but riding is wonderful too. I admire you for being able to drive! You go, girl!! :-)

Have a wonderful rest of the day.

Blessings--Andrea
