Then she declared that Simba looks like a "big fat hamster". What do YOU think?
So we got the iPad and she drew a picture of Simba wearing a blue top hat.
After that, she stacked the games in a tower to choose which one to play.
And then we made bracelets. It was the best bad weather day I have ever had.
Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine. ~ Anthony J. D'Angelo
“We don’t yet see things clearly.
We’re squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won’t be long before
the weather clears and the sun
shines bright! We’ll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us,
knowing him directly just as he knows us!”

Nice fruitful bonding with Ella, Ginny...
Hi Ginny you will aways remember that say with very special memories. Have a great weekend.
What beautiful pictures, Ginny, & I especially NEEDED that Bible verse at the end. Thank you for posting that most of all.
God bless~ Andrea
XOXOXO
Ginny, you can make any day a fun day! Love that you captured all of it too!
The next bad weather day I want to come to your house because that all sounds like fun to me :)
I have to agree, Simba does sort of resemble a fat hamster...lol
Lol on Simba. That sure looks like a fun day
Fat cats are the best.
I call that an extraordinarily good bad day!!
To answer your question, The Baker was not on a secret mission!! He was just visiting his homeland and taking care of some business.
Best,
Bonnie
I would have enjoyed all that you did together. we had rain for 4 days and i needed something other than what i have here to pass the time. sunshine yesterday woo hoo... great shots, all of these....
Hi Ginn, Cute all the way around! Have a super good day today.
this sure looks like a fun day!
i totally enjoyed your photos.
have a great weekend!
does look like a hamster!!! You certainly make a dreary day a happy one, lucky girl, lucky you!
Haha, by looking at the comparison of Simba and hamster, I must say Ella is right! What a fun she and you had on bad weather day. I love the quote. We can always have sunshine in our hearts :-)
It looks to me like you and Ella made your own sunshine indoors that day.
A very entertaining day from the sounds of it.
My motto is if the spider lives outside and stays outside, it has a right to live but if it makes its way into my house, out comes my shoe.
Your cat's eyes are perfect for Halloween month. Looks like Ella had a great time and you have lots to keep her happy.
Fun day and lovely photos, Ginny.
LOL Simba does look like a hamster....what a fun day you provided for Ella....isn't it fun having a grand daughter. :)
I have to say this - your house seems like it's a fun place to be!
You seem to offer a lot of alternative things to do even on a rainy day... The girls must love coming over :)
Your house seems to be a fun place to hang out, especially for the kids. And I totally love the verse you pick to post from the Bible. Not forgetting to mention that Ella looks extremely adorable...
Hi Ginny,
I'd not mind hanging out with you on the next rainy day, kind of like making bracelets, playing with cats and IPOD you would have to teach me that one.
Beautiful day you both had and great idea for a blog. Next time the grandbabies come over I'll keep mom posted that way, lol.
Yes, I agree with Ella, Simba does look like a hamster.
Have a great weekend
Awwwwwwwwww, a precious day with Ella, and making memories for her that will never leave her mind. You're a treasure Ginny.
I think Ella and you are kindred spirits, and yes, in that photo Simba did have that hamster shape.
Ginny, how unfair of you to take those rear-end photos :-). Few of us could pass that kind of scrutiny. It looks like Anne Marie had a wonderful afternoon. I hope you and Phil have a great weekend. Blessings...Mary
At least, she was content with what she had to entertain herself with. Even grown ups have a problem with that.
What fun! Your a wonderful grandma! :)
And I love that Ella stacked the games! She definitely thinks outside the box. :)
Haha, Simba does look like a hamster in that photo. It looks like Ella doesn't let the bad weather stop her imagination.
My son also likes to stack up boxes and cans.
