Guitar Art

Guitars are a big thing around here. These paintings were done by school children in the art department. Many look like adult paintings! The first one clearly has a Picasso influence.  I also snapped a storefront with neon guitars, a neon guitar clock, and two guitar cakes. Can you play any instruments, and if so, what?

Use guitars to reinforce your Hallelujahs! Play his praise on a grand piano! Invent your own new song to him; give him a trumpet fanfare.
Psalm 33

Great guitars. I've never even attempted making cakes like those guitar ones.
When I was growing up my parents had given my brother a guitar for his birthday. He lost interest in it quickly and my dad adopted it and taught himself to play. He showed me how to play a couple songs but I never took it any further than that

The pieces by school children are very well done. The only thing I "play" is the cd player!! Our younger son plays the cello which I love.

Best,
Bonnie

Love the artwork! I'm wondering if guitars are a big thing in your area, are they used more for rock/pop music or country music? I think it would be fun to be able to play one, but I only can play the piano and that's not saying a lot since I haven't had one to play in several years. :)

Glad to see they still have art in school. They did great work.

Those guitar arts are wonderful! I especially love the guitar cake :-) It makes a great birthday cake for music lovers.
I have absolutely no skill on music and can't play any instrument. I admire people who play musical instruments!

These are brilliant, especially the first, and I like the third one too.

What cool guitar art! I don't play any instruments. I took flute when I was 9, but the instructor was very mean and scared me so much I begged to quit. I never tried anything else.

The only musical instrument I can play is my iPod. I like all of your guitar art, however.

Those children are very talented, I love all of their work. The guitar cake is so pretty and it looks like it's sitting on a satin cushion.

When I was in junior high I took piano lessons for a couple of years but didn't keep it up. I can't play a single note now.
