Just Dandy

Most of you know that I love dandelions. When you see these little spots of sunlight appear in the yard, you know it is spring! Here is this year's crop in our yard.
And then they turn into fuzz balls, which little children love to pick and blow. How can it get any better than that?
So I have created for your viewing enjoyment: a midnight blooming dandelion
 A fiery dandelion.
A kaleidoscope dandelion
And a stained glass dandelion.
"If dandelions were hard to grow, they would be most welcome on any lawn.”
Andrew Mason

“The ground will sprout thorns and weeds, you’ll get your food the hard way, Planting and tilling and harvesting, sweating in the fields from dawn to dusk…”
Genesis 3

my yard is aglow with them right now. They are a welcome sight to me but my neighbor who has their yard sprayed every year doesn't share my love of them.
I love all your dandelion edits. Very creative

WOW That certainly is a garden full of Dandelions and they make the place so bright. Your different shots of them in flower and seed are great. I left you a reply and thanks for visiting me today.

The dandelion is a much maligned little wildflower. No one seems to want them in their garden yet a field of them is one of nature's prettiest sights. I love your photos Ginny, and the macro's of the fluff-balls are stunning. Happy day to you and have a great week :)

p.s. Love your last two effects too :)

I removed my first comment because half the words were spelled wrong :) I must have written it in my sleep! We have plenty of dandelions around here too, was what I meant to say...

I do like how pretty the Dandelion is,I just don't want my whole lawn to be yellow. I like your stained glass Dandelion.

A Happy Mother's Day to you... Hope today is a wonderful day. I'm sure it will be..

As you well know, I am NOT a lover of Dandelions --but you do have some great photos.

I am improving with each passing day from my surgery --but the weekend was NOT a 'piece of cake' for me.... Oh Well... Keeps me honest, I guess... ha ha

Hugs,
Betsy

I do like dandelions as long as they are not in the middle of my front lawn (the neighbors give me dirty looks) if one grows there. The ones in the back I'm not so quick to remove.

I love what you did with the simple dandelion Ginny. I love the all but my favortie is the stained glass one, gorgeous!

Happy Mother's Day!

Even in a simple weed, there is so much beauty to be found. Loved this presentation. Ginny, you are one of my best visitors and I truly appreciate it. Most of all, I love your blog and the things you share. Thank you so much for your kind words and card.

What a marvelous collection of dandelions! I love it. I used to have an orange cat named Dandelion. He was just dandy :-)

I have to admit that I'm not as fond of dandelions as you are. We were fortunate to have relatively few in our yard this Spring, but our neighbor had a bumper crop.

Hi Ginny! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that loves dandelions. I think they make the yard look beautiful but Gary can't wait to cut them down :-( These pictures are amazing!

That is what my yard looked like a month ago. I got desperate this year and had a company spray one application.

These must also be God's favorites because HE made so many of them everywhere! The older I get the more I love when they are the ones that poke their heads out in spring!

Their cheerful yellow brightens my day, too. Bravo on your dandelion gallery.
