The Long And Winding Wall

The long and winding road
That leads to your door
Will never disappear
I've seen that road before
It always leads me here
Lead me to your door

Lennon/ McCartney

Well, I've done it again. I happened across another winding wall, one much longer than the last time! Of course I was elated to see it. It is in front of a private home. Which would you want, straight or winding?

“The wall was jasper, the color of Glory, and the City was pure gold, translucent as glass. The foundations of the City walls were garnished with every precious gem imaginable…”
Revelation 21

The winding wall is unusual and yet very pretty, though I would prefer and straight wall. ~ Blessings, Catherine

Depends on what kind of house and what kind of road. Love that wall. It's perfect for the setting.

Bonnie

I love the looks of the winding, but can you imagine the time it takes to mow around it. Plus how much more expensive it would be to, build.

That is a very pretty winding wall! I think I'd get straight for myself as it seems easier to take care. Though I sure enjoy and admire this beautiful wall!

this is amazing, and i love the winding wall.. i would want it a few feet taller for me.. i like the house to.. looks like it is for sale. i like the winding better than straight, bet it was expensive to build it that way.

What a fun wall! The owner must be quirky.

Lovely photos of this winding wall. I like the ones so curved. We have a couple in our area and much prefer them to a simple straight one. Tanya May is probably right though, it would be hard to mow.

Thank you for visiting my post. I am going to add this link in a future one but I thought you might enjoy reading the history of my village. The church is included. http://www.marldonhistory.co.uk/html/marldonhist.html

Hi Ginny, I am for the winding road or path or brick retaining wall. Have a really wonderful coming week! The Scripture you chose is super!

I like that winding wall, but a brick or stone wall, straight or curvy is usually a lovely addition to the landscape.

Love the wavy wall! I wonder what the story is behind it.
