Meet Robot Cyborg Muffler Man. He is a 24 foot Pulverizer. He was created by our local artist Mark Cline. He is only a year old and stands in the front of a car junk yard. I think he is holding and smashing a motorcycle.
Have you noticed something in his chest? That is where the little alien sits with his stick controls, controlling the motions of his robot. He is a fearsome little guy!
This ends our little trip to Buena Vista, literally meaning "Good View". And who would have thought that the view would be a robot and a space alien.
“The Emites (Monsters) used to live there—mobs of hulking giants, like Anakites.”

That's a fascinating robot/sculpture Ginny. I like your photos of it. Must be an amazing sight.
I agree with Denise, this is fascinating, Ginny. Thanks so much for sharing.
A good art work and creative too. A funny, weird little guy at the control. Can the robot move?
Fascinating and creative big guy.
That is some massive robot sculpture
What a cool robot. You have some very clever and talented people who live in your area. You're always finding interesting and unique things
I totally was not expecting robot man.. i love him. my favorite part is the bike in his hand and the little alien driver.. great shots and well worth the drive.. very creative to use the old mail truck.. the artist is really talented..
I never expected to see a robot and space alien! Love the nice smile on the robot and cute little alien:-) This is such an unique and fun art work!
O.K., that was worth the wait!! Before this robot, the most unusual think I've spied in Virginia was Noah's Ark on the way to Charlottesville. Most people think Noah landed on Mt. Ararat but I know the truth!!
Best,
Bonnie
He's fascinating all right. And a bit strange too. ;))
We're going to have to look for this guy if we ever get back to your area. What a surprise to find him. I enjoyed your photos.
WOW! He is a real piece of junk.
Makes me think a bit of the Trojan Horse.
Greetings,
Filip
Whoa, that's big...
... and now I have to laugh, because I'm asked to prove I'm not a robot!

The artist is very creative! What a big work of art!

I will have to admit that someone is talented to have built that, but am glad I don't have to look at it every day! LOL
Very interesting! I am sure you enjoy your little trip, Ginny!
