Uh OH! Looks like we've been spotted. Since we had no hard hats in the car, we made a speedy retreat.
Whew, that was a close call. Come to think of it, this incident reminded me of the time we spotted a crow sitting on his own gravestone. Must have been a ghost crow.
“Frost glimmered on the morning fields. Crows
called across the pewter afternoons.”

“Ephraim is fickle and scattered, like a flock of blackbirds, their beauty
dissipated in confusion and clamor, Frenetic and noisy, frigid and barren, and
nothing to show for it—“

There is an old believe here that each time a crow crows, someone will die :(
Not a favourite birds in the old days and current days too coz they tend to go after the rubbish bins
He was a good look out for people without hard hats!!
ha, that was cute! i love crows but they are quick when they see me pull out my camera!
I think the crow was considering doing you know what on your head and that is why people need hard hats. LOL.. great shots and i like the one on the tombstone. hope you are not snowed in today...
That crow on the tombstone is a winner!
Best,
Bonnie
Ginny, the crow stayed still for you to photograph it. Over here, crows have multiplied in great numbers and are treated as pests.
Maybe there was some food around - they are scavengers! lol
Ghost crow...hahaha That is a good one. How lucky you were to be there at the right time to capture him on the headstone!
Watch crow! Oh he seems quite vigilant indeed! We sure need a hardhat to enter while he is watching!
I love crows!! They are so smart and wise.
That is wild! I love your new header.
Those watch crows sound dangerous. Ha!Ha!
Just goes to show you never know who is watching you,
Love the shot of the crow on the headstone
How neat..he really does look like he is on guard. Love the headstone shot!
This is a cute post Ginny. Your photos of the crows are great and you have caught the sun shining on their feathers. I have enjoyed this, thank you :)
You never cease to amaze me!! You always come up with the most unusual pictures... Things completely out of the ordinary.
Blessings
I'm smiling about that vigilant crow! We have a couple of crows that like to sit high in a tree across the street. My husband is certain they follow us to the bank, to the grocery store and to... whatever.
Haha, watch out for those crows. My mom used to have a bunch in her neighborhood. One of them would sit on the telephone wire right behind her back door and it seemed that he "kept watch" because as soon as she would open the door and throw out some stale bread or crackers, suddenly he would signal to the others and there would be 6-8 crows in her yard gobbling up the bread. I would love to know how they communicate with each other. Won't it be fun to someday ask the Creator of the crows questions like that? :)
Spooky crow.
Greetings,
Filip
Wow! That shot of the crow on the headstone is priceless. When would you ever see that again. Love your kitchen cabinet door. It looks wonderful:)
