“Was it
through your know-how that the hawk learned
to fly, soaring effortlessly on thermal updrafts? Did you command the eagle’s
flight, and teach her to build her nest in the heights, Perfectly at home on
the high cliff face, invulnerable on pinnacle and crag? From her perch she
searches for prey, spies it at a great distance. Her young gorge themselves on
carrion; wherever there’s a roadkill, you’ll see her circling.”

Magnificent Ginny!!!!! Simply magnificent.
He's pretty awesome. I find it amazing how they'll sit for such a long time waiting and watching for their next meal
Awesome shots, Ginny.
Great pictures. Most of the time these birds take off the minute I even think about getting a picture.
Indeed the hawk looks very cool and steady... :) Nice shots again, Ginny!
Wow, he looks magnificent! I've never seen a hawk up close in person - only spotted them flying high up in the sky. Great captures!
He held still for you unlike a cat you can't stand to be stared at.
Amazing photos ... I just love hawks. We had one visit us this winter. What an entrance he made. All the little song birds took off ;-) They are amazing birds.
Great photos, Ginny, you really do have a gift.
