Enjoying The Day

From the back door, I spotted a neighborhood cat enjoying the sun.

When he opened his eyes...

He assumed the stalking position!

This may have been his objective, it was only a few feet away.

In fact, this big blue jay jumped down right in front of the cat to grab a seed! The cat never moved. Lulled by the sun perhaps. Little dramas in nature like this go on all the time. I love being around when they happen.

“God’s works are so great, worth A lifetime of study—endless enjoyment! Splendor and beauty mark his craft; His generosity never gives out.”
Psalm 111

The cat is very tame then... same with my labrador... she even makes friends with the birds, they come picking on her leftover food and they are not scared of her at all...

Hi Ginny, these little dramas are very entertaining and I also get to witness these wonderful dramas around me especially in my garden.

Yes we probably miss so many little dramas but lovely to witness the ones we see.

You're so right Ginny, there is so much beauty all around but most people are so busy with other things they fail to notice. I can't condemn them as remembering back when the children were small there wasn't a lot of time for gazing, thankfully we now have plenty of time to enjoy natures wonders now.

In the first picture that cat looks so content. Perhaps it was focusing on it's kitty zen and the blue jay must have known that it was a peaceful loving cat. Sounds like a good story any way...lol

the bird had no idea the cat was there and looks happy. I love the word drama, that is so true, there is always drama going on somewhere, we just have to SEE it... the kitty pics are beautiful. what a pretty sleepy cat.

Love your little scenario. Glad the cat was enjoying the sun and not the bird, lol... Hugs, LJ

We have fun watching our cats...and the neighbor's dog. Another neighbor's dog has passed on and we miss her.
