Velociraptors had feathers,but could not fly. And they were very small, about the size of a turkey.
Their most powerful weapons were the the single curved claws on their hind feet.
Artist Caesar Morton made him from wood, wisteria, cow bones, teeth, sand, walnuts, stingray egg casings, and pine cones. I did not recognize any of the materials except these pine cones.
So there you have him, in all his gory glory. Let's hope there are no wrecks.
"God doesn’t
hold back on his anger;
even dragon-bred monsters
cringe before him."

Wow! That is quite a sculpture Ginny. You took great photos of it. They are making a new Jurassic Park movie aren't they? He will fit right in.
ps snow on the ground here. You too?
Very creative Ginny
My first thought was wow, he's kind of ugly but then I noticed the pine cones. It's fascinating how someone can take all those things and turn it in to something like this. What talent. Those claws on the hind feet look pretty deadly
This is wonderful, makes me want to go our and collect pine cones etc and have a go at making my own model. Thanks for sharing.
