The Last Ice Post - Back Home Again

Finally back home after our trip in the ice to get food. Here is our city. As of now, there are still many people with no power! It did not snow here; this is ALL ice!

“And who do you think is the father of rain and dew, the mother of ice and frost? You don’t for a minute imagine these marvels of weather just happen, do you?”

What a treacherous journey to get food, my friend! I am so glad you are safe and I will pray for all those still without power. But oh how beautiful your pictures are!! Love, Andrea xoxo

I can't imagine going that long without power. What are the temepratures like there right now? Would anyone even be able to stay in their home with no power this time of year?

it is absolutely gorgeous to look at, but not to be in.. no power is the worst thing I can think of to lose. so glad you survived and are ok. your blog looks really spiffy today.

Such amazing, beautiful sceneries! But I hope the ice will melt before breaking or bending too many branches. And I hope the power will be fully restored soon!

I am fully aware of the troubles this ice can bring, but I also see the tremendous beauty.

Oh, Ginny! I’ve been so distracted lately I had no idea what was going on elsewhere! Goodness gracious! It’s beautiful but scary! Glad you and Phil made it back safely. Hope you can stay in now and enjoy just looking at it!

We had a bad ice storm like this a couple of years ago. Ice is much worse than snow.

This is all so beautiful. Not to be out driving in it tho!

Even south Texas had one of these storms years ago...but melted as the sun came up.

I know it is hard on the bushes and trees - but it is so beautiful! I love it.

Oh Ginny! Ice is pretty but ice is not nice for travel. Glad you're home safe and sound. We got 11 inches of snow in that storm.. blah! Too early for that stuff!!

Sunday Sunset

I snapped these from the Target parking lot. The sun had just gone down, but the trees were hiding the very bottom part of the sunset. Life...
