Then we went to the Haunted Library! For this one night, the library had blacked out part of the main room and filled it with scary stuff. Plus free candy.
After we got back to our house, they tried to apply makeup for the first time. This was from the packet they had bought at Target. I hid my hilarity well.
Then we settled down for fall crafts.
And they wrote messages on a letter board.
By now it was almost 10:00 P.M. and they were tired. After a bit of roughhousing that ended up with Dara falling on my foot, it was time to take them home and call it a night. I slept most of the next day!!

Those girls will have a heart full of happy memories, thanks to the time and effort you and Phil put into spending time with them. These are priceless things to do.
You and Phil are wonderful grandparents.

What fun! And the first make-up session 😊. Delightful post Ginny.
Well that sounds like a fun filled day. The makeup time made me smile. She looks so cute putting on that eye shadow.
I've been on the "middle age" time frame for decades! (Love the quote)
I remember the days of wearing make-up & being all grown up. Now I'm doing good with just hygiene & NO make-up.
Again, fun photos. My favorite? The thankful notes!
Quality and fun bonding time with the grand daughters.
you survived the FUN! I can tell everyone had a blast.. I could not use makeup until I got married and moved out of daddy's house...
What a fun time! You are making memories that will last a lifetime.
It sounds as if you had a fun-filled afternoon and evening. I like the wisdom of the quote.
Looks like it was a very busy and fun day! I love the photos of your granddaughters doing makeup :-) The felt pumpkin is very sweet with many things to be thankful for!
Thanks for stopping by Ginny. I hope the bad weather won't be as bad as they say it will be, and will be keeping you in a virtual hug until the weather alert is put away.
