The Cyclamen

Today the Garden Center had a whole bunch of Cyclamen for sale. All different kinds; they were so pretty. Their petals point upwards like flames.

·        In Japan, Cyclamen is considered as the holy flower of love.
Leonardo da Vinci was very fond of cyclamen flowers. He drew them at the margins of his manuscripts.

These have a very thin white border around the edges of the petals

Flowers or weeds. I choose flowers. Beautiful cyclamen flowers.

Not only are the flowers pretty but so are the leaves. I've heard that quote before and have always liked it.

Once again, a great quote! I do enjoy this flower, but I just don't have much luck in growing it. I need to be more patient with them I guess. Have a great weekend

I am fond of cyclamen too, they have a wide range of colors, especially in the pink and lavender shades. I grow them in pots on my patio and they usually make it through the winter here in California.

I love cyclamens. I think of life as a garden…we need to patiently pull the weeds, nurture the flowers, and enjoy the results.

I LOVE this quote. That's really neat what this flower means in Japan. They're pretty, and I especially like the bright pink ones. : )
