Growing Now

In bloom in our yard now are these plants. Some would call them weeds. These are Persian Speedwell, and are so tiny that they are smaller than your little fingernail.

Here are some Wild Violets, of different kinds.

And here are the creepiest of all - Purple Dead Nettle.

A weed is a plant that has mastered every survival skill except learning how to grow in rows.

we prefer flowers/weeds not growing in rows. these are beautiful and the one is kind of weird looking and is new to me. looks like spring if finally settling in your part of our earth

I have lots of the dead nettle growing in my yard. I also have the speedwell. They are tiny flowers but I think they're rather pretty.

I think so called weeds are some of the prettiest flowers.

I think I have the dead nettle growing in my lawn..Pretty but I don't like it taking over my grass.
Love the definition of a weed. I think I fall into that category too.

Oh, look at those violets! And my favorite color! Are they growing wild in your yard, or did you plant them? They're really pretty. The mulch in the back yard is starting to grow, and have to remove it soon. It seems like it's never ending work in the mountains. ; )
