Jonquils Or Daffodils?

Every year I try to post this house a few blocks away. They do not really have a grass lawn. Instead, they filled their entire front yard with flower bulbs!

So, do you call them Jonquils, or Daffodils? Actually, both names belong to the Narcissus family! So Narcissus would be the correct name!

I was lucky to capture them on such a sunny day!

Pulling into our driveway, I noticed that our next-door neighbor had a Daffodil flag!

I've always called them daffodils. I've probably asked this before but after after the flowers are gone, what does their yard look like then. I can't imagine it would look very nice.

They are so pretty and a nice cheerful sign of Spring. We call them daffodils here but I've heard all those names.

I call them daffodils and I love this time of the year when they burst out in their bright stunning colors. They alert us that Spring is here or on its way. I need to plant more of them. You captured some beautiful pictures of them and I'm glad they were showing out for you. BEAUTIFUL!

I wouldn't do it but I love to see it. To me white are jonquils and yellow daffodils - but that is just me. Love, sandie

There is a house a few miles from us that has the whole side yard filled with daffodils! It looks really beautiful when they are all in bloom. I think I posted a picture on my blog once.

Love the daffodils, I think they are one of my favorite spring flowers. I kind of agree with Chatty Crone..white makes me think jonquils, but I'm too lazy to look up the difference..haha..

A lovely display of daffodils in your neighbor's yard. Thanks for sharing them. I like the flag too and the symbolism.

I call them daffodils, and I just saw some sprouting up down the street. They were the first flowers to blossom around here. I remember this house when you posted it, and their yard looks so nice filled with flowers. I wonder if they use a lot of water to take care of them. Your neighbor's daffodil flag is delightful. I didn't know what the daffodil represents. Thanks for sharing that, Ginny.
