Student Art & Pink Tie Ball

I finish my Cherry Blossom posts with the student art and Pink Tie Ball. First is the art.

And to finish the day, the Pink Tie Ball.

The night ended with fireworks.

“The notion is called wabi-sabi life, like the cherry blossom, it is beautiful because of its impermanence, not in spite of it, more exquisite for the inevitability of loss.”

I love the pictures, but I love the quote even more. It's good antidote to worrying about the future when things can change so fast.

This is really quite a celebration. That pink tie ball looks very fancy. This has been fun to see.

Wow sure is a lot of pink. Beautiful pictures. I lived near DC for many years and never knew this was such a big thing.
