The Shoes

These are the oldest known pair of shoes ever found! They were found in Oregon in the 1930’s. They date back to about 10,000 years. About 100 pairs were found, including some kid’s sizes.

They were made of shredded sagebrush bark. A toe flap covers the top and they were held on by cords that tied around the ankle.

They are called “The Fort Rock Cave Sandals”, named after where they were found.

All photos are from the web.

Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that who cares?... He's a mile away and you've got his shoes!

Thank you! I wonder when they wore shoes and when they (if they did) went barefoot.
