The Green Pipe House

This house is in the city of Charlottesville, about 1/2 hour away. I have always called it The Green Pipe House. I know nothing about it except that it is SO unusual! Since this is St. Patrick's Day weekend, what better time to show you?

Let's take a good peek inside the window. It does look like someone is living there!

I got an amaryllis bulb for my birthday today; a belated gift. So I thought you could follow it with me every day! I don't know what color it will be!

Happy birthday! Yes, please share the progress of the amaryllis. They are such fun plants to watch grow. ❤️

I am only familiar with the amaryllis because of following Monica in Sweden, she and her tulips, I have never had either one, can't wait to see it bloom.
that is quite possibly the ugliest house I have ever seen, but I know some will like it... the lack of windows is a big deal to me... now I wonder if the pipes are heating related... great photos of it...

Interesting house. It makes me think of those houses built out of containers (like the ones semi's haul.) There certainly aren't very many windows in it.
Pretty birthday gift. I've never had an amaryllis but if I had I'm sure I would have killed it...lol

I'm guessing an architect might live there. Unusual to have the pipes painted green, but to each his own. What a sweet gift for you. Those bulbs do so well. I had one for a couple of years and it bloomed a few times. Hoping your weekend is full of fun and hope you have your green outfit picked out for Monday...

That is an interesting house. Most people want to hide piping and they must want to draw attention to it.
Love the plumber joke!

Happy Birthday 🎈
I kinda like the green pipe house. Although not my taste, it’s still striking and different. I can’t wait to see what color the flower will be. How fun.

Very interesting home but it sure doesn't have many windows that I can see. The green is very bold.
Can't wait to see your amaryllis bloom.
