The snowball bushes are in bloom! And from a distance, the blooms really do look like big snowballs! These are around the neighborhood.
I made myself a snowball, as perfect as can be.
I thought I’d keep it as a pet and let it sleep with me.
I made it some pajamas and a pillow for it’s head.
Thren last night it ran away, but first it wet the bed.

Those snowball photos are gorgeous, thanks for sharing :)
They are spectacular! You have such a beautiful neighborhood.
The white flowers are so elegant here
These are gorgeous. I remember my dad's house had these and lilac bushes along the one property line. It was always so pretty
So pretty! My grandparents had a huge bush at the corner of their yard and I miss it so much.
They are so pretty!
What a lovely sight to see those snowball bushes in bloom! They truly do look like little snowballs, even in May. I couldn’t help but smile at the poem by Shel Silverstein—such a fun and whimsical touch! I just posted a new blog about Body Confident You: Body Confident Kid, and I’d love for you to check it out when you have a moment: https://www.melodyjacob.com/2025/05/body-confident-you-body-confident-kid-book-review.html. Hope the snowballs keep blooming beautifully
Absolutely gorgeous.
The snowball bush is one of my very favorites...Who am I kidding, any flower is my favorite. I have always enjoyed the snowballs and wish I could grow one. I do have one in a bucket and it is still alive..hopefully I can get it planted and mine can look like this someday..
Oh, those are so pretty. They kind of look like the hydrangea a bit. What lovely pictures you shared of the Snowballs this Monday morning. Your neighborhood has so many wonderful things to look at.
Have a splendid May week, Ginny.

Ha... love the poem.
I do love snowball bushes, my grandparents had a huge one.
I love the snowballs. I am not sure about the poem - lol.
There’s just something about white flowers - so pretty and delicate. I can’t figure out their size but they look like carnations to me. I’ve not seen any in the yards around here.
I have always enjoyed Shel Silverstein‘s poems. My boys would read them and laugh and laugh. Make me smile thinking back to those precious times.
Such pretty flowers and I love that the blooms are so large.
Beautiful photos Ginny and I love the Shel Silverstein poem.
Nice pictures of the snowball bushes. They are so pretty. We have several of them around our parking lot too.
Cute poem.
