Why am I posting this photo of Converse shoes? They are being worn by our middle granddaughter, Dara. We gave them to her for her graduation from middle school. She gets all A's.
When I was growing up, there was NO middle school graduation! This year, the school said NO grandparents or friends could come because there wasn't room in the auditorium. So we didn't go. But most of the grandparents did not care and broke the rules. They came swarming in with their wheelchairs and walkers! Afterward at our house we gave her the shoes she had wanted. Here she is in her new dress.
And her two sisters.
The crowd was most unruly! They were all hollering, cheering, and waving big flower bouquets. around. And on to high school next fall.
Here we are with the graduate.

In life, you’re given
a test that teaches you a lesson.”

Lovely gift for Dara, Ginny! They are all beautiful girls! Thank you so much for sharing, dear friend.
Your granddaughters are beautiful and the shoes look great on her.
I love the picture of her with you and Phil.
Congratulations to Dara. There was no middle school graduation when I was in school either.
Love the new sneakers.
I didn’t go to middle school or jr high. Just a K-8 school although they did separate us with our own wing - we dd have a 8th grade graduation. June 1968.
Your granddaughters are pretty and congratulations to the graduate!
What a lovely way to celebrate Dara's middle school graduation! The Converse shoes are such a fun and meaningful gift—she’ll remember them every time she wears them. It’s unfortunate the school had restrictions, but I have to admire the determined spirit of the grandparents who showed up anyway! Dara looks beautiful in her new dress, and it’s wonderful to see her supported by such a loving family.
Wishing her all the best as she steps into high school—she’s clearly bright and full of potential. And that quote at the end is the perfect touch. Thanks for sharing this joyful moment!
Dara’s accomplishment and spirit shine brightly. Congratulations to her on this milestone, and what a wonderful way to celebrate with those special shoes and loving family support
Three beautiful granddaughters and it beats me how they became grown ups in so little time. and smart too. nothing better than that
Three beautiful granddaughters for sure! Congrats to her and love the shoes. I don't like when people don't follow the rules. They do that with handicap places too - lol. Still looks like you had a good time.
You have darling granddaughters Ginny, all beautiful young ladies. Loved the photos and especially the one of the three of you. Congratulations Dara and both hubby and I loved your shoes!
Ginny, they just keep growing up. ;-)
Congratulations!!!
I love the shoes.

You have lovely granddaughters.
Love the shoes.
Beautiful gift and beautiful granddaughters. ❤️
Is there a difference between "middle school" and "junior high"? (I can't even keep up with the changes in our own school system in Sweden these days...) Congratulations to Dara anyway; and all three girls are beautiful!
Congratulations to her!
It was great to see your lovely granddaughters and you and your husband as well. Glad that the grandparents did not heed the school and attended the graduation instead -- yeah for them.
Yaaay for Dara, for getting all A's. That's awesome, Ginny! What a special gift the Converse shoes are. And just what she wanted too. I've heard of the schools not allowing so many guests at the ceremonies. Her new yellow dress is pretty, and what a sweet big smile she is wearing.

Oh my goodness, how did I miss this?
Happy Graduation and what great shoes for her gift. The girls are really growing into such beautiful young women. I like the photo of you, hubby and Dara.
