Fall Is Here!

Our next-door neighbor, only several feet away, has a new patch growing. It is right outside our back door. Do you know what it is?

Here are some blooms as a hint.

It's a pumpkin patch, a very tiny one. And it has pumpkins! I think fall is here!

This pumpkin is purple!

“In a corner of the field, a tiny pumpkin patch grows—quietly magical, stubbornly joyful, and just big enough to hold a dream.”

Very cool 😎 Ginny. Hurrah for Autumn πŸ‚ and pumpkins. I love ❤️ the colours of this season and of course the harvest of my favourite root vegetables....Rutabaga, for example. It is a purple πŸ’œ and yellow πŸ’› Swedish turnip that pairs very nicely with carrots.

Nothing says the arrival of autumn quite like the surprise of pumpkins growing just outside your door

How cool. Many years ago I planted pumpkins. I don't think we got very many and the ones we did get didn't get very big. It was fun watching to see them grow though

Our little pumpkin patch, gave up the ghost this summer because it was just too hot. I’ve only been successful once. Love the pumpkins! I’ve eaten zucchini blossoms but never had pumpkin blossoms- I wonder if they are as good?

The leaves do look like squash and a pumpkin is from that family. Maybe its a heirloom pumpkin.
How fun to hav it right near you so you can watch the growth.

Fun to grow pumpkins. They sure take up a lot of room though.
