Arrested By A Robot?

Grocery shopping the other day, the robot stopped right in front of me, blocking my way, and started yelling through the P.A.system. His green lights became flashing yellow lights. Yikes, had I done something wrong? Was I being arrested by a robot?? Immediately, a man in a red store uniform came running at me.

Well, turns out the robot had spotted some broccoli on the floor and was having a hissy fit. While he removed the broccoli, the man told me that the robot also catches shoplifters! Who knew!

Meanwhile, here are some more signs of fall I saw in the store.

  • 🐸 “The frogs grow quiet, the fireflies dim—summer bows out with a glittering grin.”

P.S. when we got to the hospital, they told me the machine had broken! They offered to take me elsewhere with a really long wait, but we declined. Came back home and I will reschedule. Thank you so much for your mind words and prayers!!

I love the pictures and the robot story, but I'm sorry about the canceled appointment, after you drove there! Love, hugs, and prayers.

I would have been a little freaked out being stopped by a robot in the store.
Sorry to hear you didn't get your test done yesterday. You would have thought they would have called you to let you know that they wouldn't be able to do it.

my cousin had that happen to her and she had been fasting and taking some kind of drink, and had to wait 3 weeks and try again.

That is funny! Glad you weren't arrested. :)
But I'm sorry you made all the plans and drove to the hospital only to have to do it again later.

That must have been quite the surprise. Being confronted by a robot that thinks it’s a security guard! It’s funny how technology can both amaze and startle us at the same time. Those little signs of fall you noticed in the store are so charming, reminding us to slow down and appreciate the season. www.melodyjacob.com

Wouldn't it be better to have a robot that could actually pick up things from the floor than just having a hizzy fit and calling for human help...?? (Just wondering 😂

Don't you wish they had called you!
Good luck getting a new appointment.
I didn't know those machines could catch thief's as well. Sometimes I like AI and sometimes I don't.

My goodness, a robot? I haven’t seen that yet and I doubt I will. Shoplifting in my state is epidemic. Nothing is done.
So it’s back to the drawing board for the appointment. Do wish they would have given you a heads up to avoid the drive. Oh well.

That would have made me livid to go early for a doctor's appointment and not be notified ahead of time that the equipment was down. A grocery store robot? That's a new one on me, Ginny. Blessings!

It seems Robots are ruling the world. I would have been unnerved by that hissy fit.
Hope it won't be long for a rescheduled appointment. They should have informed you. Long trip for nothing. (((hugs)))

Ginny, me and Nel went through a fast food place, and a robot speaker took the order. It was so strange, but she was efficient with the order. I just don't think I'll ever get used to robot living. Oh, caramel apples! A sure sign of Fall. And mini pumpkins! They are already selling the big orange ones at the grocery store!

Who would have thought a runaway broccoli could trigger a full-blown robot alert

Oh my word, terrorized by a robot!!!!!! I bet the workers don't like them any more than the customers do. Yes, signs of autumn are all around, aren't they. Those mums are gorgeous! Love, Andrea xoxo

Good grief! I was watching other robots going a bit haywire online this morning. That was some experience you had Ginny! Nice to see the fall items. I am looking forward to buying mums a little earlier this year.

So sorry about your cancellation. I hope your next trip will be uneventful.

To Such Great Heights

I happened to look up the other day and saw this. He was the same color as the roof, so hard to spot. And he seemed to be looking for a way...
