The Patch

A few days ago, we came across the first pumpkin patch of the year. It was in front of our Blue Ridge Mountains.

There were quite a few people there. Some had brought wagons.

It brought to mind this photo of our oldest granddaughter at one of her first pumpkin patches. This was about 17 years ago!

“A pumpkin patch is where autumn whispers in orange and gold, and every vine holds a story waiting to be carved."

It looks quite summery there still - the way the people in that pumpkin parch are dressed??

It is hard to believe that tiny tot has been in our shared lives for that many years and has grown into a beautiful young college student

Great photos of the pumpkin patch, Ginny, but my favorite is of your beautiful granddaughter when she was barely big enough to pick one up. Wonderful!

What a delightful pumpkin patch, Ginny. Ann Marie is so darling holding her pumpkin when she was a little girl. It's almost as big as her - she's strong! And she's already 17! They do grow up fast, don't they? Love the quote you shared too.

LOVE all the pumpkins in a patch! Our front porch pumpkins are now covered in snow. Burrrrr. Very pretty though. Snow or sunshine, if there's a pumpkin involved, I'll take it.
