The Net

Last week, we watched our granddaughter Dara's tennis match between two high schools.

She takes after Phil and her dad, and is a good tennis player. I thought I got some good action shots through the fence.

The official photographer (I am assuming) sat for the longest time taking shots through the fence holes.

Dara's mom & dad sat on the other side of the fence.

And so it goes on a chilly weekday tennis tournament.

“The net doesn’t divide — it invites.”

Love the header sketch of Dara, she looks like a pro to me... what a fun day out. I would like to see what he was taking through the holes in the fence

The net is part of the experience of sitting on the sidelines, watching the match. Good realistic photos.

Way to go, Dara! I've always thought tennis was such a graceful sport, and it requires talent and skill for sure. It's not easy to get good pictures through the fencing, but you got some good shots, Ginny. And I like your Header too!

Terrific action shots Ginny. Its obvious that Dara is a great tennis player. You can see the power in her swing.
Its nice you could watch her in the tournament too.

It is a wonderful thing to see those action shots of Dara playing such a fine game of tennis through the fence on a chilly weekday afternoon. I have always thought that watching a grandchild follow in their father's and grandfather's footsteps is the best way to feel a true sense of pride and family connection.

That lens doesn't look bright enough to blur out the fences holes in the shot.
