The Drive

As we were driving a few days ago, we again passed the giant watering can.

These are the flowers under it now.

These giant leaves were what it watered a few years ago.

We also passed this Mimosa tree, with the most abundant blooms of any I have seen.

But maybe my favorite of the day were these sunny flowers we saw.

Come forth into the light of things,
Let Nature be your teacher.

~William Wordsworth

I will find my joy —
Not in a bed of hothouse roses,
but in a wayward roadside flower.

Sisters Of The Moon

We came upon these flowers this evening, shortly before sunset.

They don't look like much all closed up in the daytime. But OH, when the moon rose...

That's when they opened up. They are Moonflowers, only showing their truest beauty in the dark. Maybe there's a lesson in that, too.

The rain barrell looked on and smiled.

Fireworks Show!!

Last weekend our city had it's fireworks show, and we parked  and watched. I know, WAY too many pictures! But I must have deleted as many as I posted! My camera's Fireworks setting just worked so well. Do you have a favorite?

To Be Extended

We spent the second afternoon with our computer guy. Turns out my little USB port plug-in extender had been going bad. Installing a new one only gave me a partial signal though. So now they need to come over and plug an extender into the wall!! Hopefully I will be O.K. till then. I have my church job on the computer, so it does need to be sort of a priority. Hopefully a new posr will be upcoming in the morning!

Fixed? NOT!

The computer guy came. He fixed it. After a couple hours, it quit again!! I will call him tomorrow, till then I only have the internet for a few minutes at a time and shortly after 1 A.M., or not at all. Frustrating!

Web down!

If you are one of my followers that I have not been able to comment on, my computer has lost the web. Except for a few minutes in the middle of the night. I am waiting for the tech guy to come and fix it.

The Stones

They were going to build this church from bricks. But one member offered to pay the difference if they used stone. They said that the stones are like people, each one is different! This speaks to inclusiveness.

And here we are in the sanctuary.

And yet some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples!” Jesus replied, “I tell you, if these stop speaking, the stones will cry out!”

Sunday Sunset - Dipped In Tangerine

One of my favorites just snapped recently. "The sky put on its brightest orange sweater and called it evening."
