Mountain Sunset

So God reveals at sunset
The grandeur of His throne
The deeper, fuller glory
Reserved to be our own;
And in that hour's unfolding
Forgot are fear and pain
In love's abounding solace
In heaven's great refrain;

Then come, blest hour of sunset,
Along the golden way,
And thrill us with the splendors
That fill life's perfect day.
God is the end of living,
He satisfies the soul,
And they who seek his glory
Will find in Him their goal.

Wow, I really enjoyed the poem you selected for your fantastic sunset captures-
They are stunning! I had to re-read the words as this is so powerful!!"The deeper, fuller glory- reserved to be our own.." to the last stanza. I can't help but wonder, did you just recall that poet or whatever when you saw the brilliant sky. At any rate, thanks for sharing Ginny!

These are gorgeous photos of the sunset and they go very well with the poem (or is it the other way around?). Anyway, the sunset is truly majestic.

The poem is beautiful, and the sunset is gorgeous! Only God can paint a Master-piece like that! Great shots, Ginny!

To answer you question about my eagle pic: I did take the photo, but not in the wild. The eagle was in Eagle Mt. Sanctuary at Dollywood and was to be released, I think. I hope!

Sunset and sunrise - but mostly at sunset - is where I feel God most. It's when I sense His wonder and his Awesomeness of what He's created for our enjoyment.
