Update on Ginny

I'm writing this from my hospital bed, and Phil is posting from a hospital computer. My white cell count had doubled and is really not better yet though I'm taking i.v. bags of 2 different antibiotics. Also taking lots of other drugs. Phil has been staying here 24/7, bless his heart. The pain is bearable as long as I don't move, so mobility is almost non-existant, hoping the drugs will kick in soon and this will all change. Also hoping I don't need surgery. Thanks to my dear followers, will update tomorrow hopefully

Sounds uncomfortable..I hope they spring you out soon as your able!! It's fortunate you can have Phil by your side right now! Well, your in my prayers. I'm going to leave you with these thoughts- taken from Streams in the Desert (Cowman)
in hysterical order~ (grin)
"The chain which unites me to humanity must be an iron chain.. That touch of nature which makes the world akin is not joy, but sorrow; gold is partial, but iron is universal.
"Thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress." (Ps. 4:1)
"He declares the sorrows of life to have been themselves the source of life's enlargement.
It is the shadows of thy life that are the real fulfillment of thy dreams of glory.. thy fetters are wings -- wings of flight into the bosom of humanity. The door of thy prison-house is a door into the heart of the universe. God has enlarged thee by the binding of sorrow's chain.

Makes me sad, Ginny... I wish I could take away your pain. You have a fabulous hubby --but you know that. We are blessed women with our sweethearts.

Please take care and get well soon. Wish I were there so that I could visit you. I feel so helpless..

May God bless you and Phil. I am praying hard for you both.

Love and Miss you SO much,
Betsy

You poor thing! But good to see you were at least able to write this. I think I can pretty much imagine; was in hospital myself a few years ago, not the exact same thing but similar kind of treatment. Hope the antibiotics kick in soon and do their job. ♥

So this is what you get up to when I've taken a couple of days off. Oh, Ginny, I wish you free from the pain - I can't even imagine how it be - and out of the hospital soon. Thanks to Phil for posting...I miss you.

At the risk of sounding dumb - did you know you had this or is this something new? Is it from any of the meds for the knee? Gosh I just hate this for you - really. And of course - I'll be praying.

Get well soon.

Ginny, you are quite a remarkable person to take time to write a blog from a hospital bed. And so is Phil for his 24/7 sentry duty. Praying here that God heals you and gives Phil the extra strength needed to do all the extra things that need doing while you are hospitalized. God Bless you both.

Aw Ginny, I know what you are going thru. I have diviticulitis and it never goes away, but it can be controlled. We have to be good about fiber and I stay away from nuts and popcorn and regular corn and it does help even if the Drs say different now. It will get better with diet and drugs. You are in my prayers. Get out of the hospital soon, Girl...
