Blue Ridge Mountains Thru The Seasons

"I lift up my eyes to the hills-
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
The Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip-
He who watches over you will not slumber..."
Psalm 121:1,3

Oh this warm summer night, your winter pictures are so refreshing. And I just had to say that I love your header picture for today. The muted and hazy colors are so restful.

The Blue Ridge Mountains are beautiful any season of the year. When I was a little girl my family spent a lot of vacations in those mountains. Great photos Ginny.

I will drive Eastward from here in the morning as I travel to church. I'll encounter the beautiful foothills of the Smokies (as I do every week) and be moved again, just as I am by viewing your beautiful pictures of the Blueridge!

Ginny - do you get to see that gorgeous view every day? That is awesome and I can see why you think of God all the time.

I love the ground fog in the valleys between the mountains.... and the Blue Ridge Parkway in spring when the native dogwood are all in bloom. I understand that the dogwood... Cornus florida.. and the state flower of Virginia, is under attack by a fungus disease. At the botanical garden, they are very worried that the dogwood may not survive and many nurseries around here no longer recommend new plantings.

One of my favorite Scriptures and my favorite place to visit! We have been blessed to visit the Smoky Mts. in each season, and they are all incredibly beautiful!

Your comments on my post always make me smile, Ginny! The one today - "I think God reads your blog" is the best! Thanks!!

You can have a holiday here at any season.

My computer changed the colored photo to B & W. I don't know how to operate my new camera to different settings.

Are these for decoration, some sort of a light reflector? Some people here hang computer disc.
