Half A Moon Is Better Than None

A few nights ago, there was a lovely half moon, so I snapped the header picture. Then I found these other half moons I have taken in the past, so thought I'd post them as well. It seems like just a few days ago I looked at this half moon, but this weekend it is to be full, time really does fly.

"The sun will no more be your light by day,
nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you,
for the Lord will be your everlasting light,
and your God will be your glory."
Isaiah 60:19

When a half a moon is so beautiful who missed the other half? :)

It is suppose to be full, and I love full moons, but there is also the Perseid Meteor shower this weekend. I hope a few meteor show through.

Time certainly does fly! What a wild background and such a cool header! These are all great shots and love the verse-

just like the saying half full of water rather than 1/2 empty.

I was teaching space last term, and got a nice poem about the moon. When I get back to school on Monday, I will copy it for you.

Great shots of this wonderful light God created for us to light the darkness.

Its been cloudy, I was hoping to shoot the moon these past few days. Maybe tonight?

HOPE you enjoy your weekend.

The full moon shone right on me through our bedroom window as I went to sleep. I've been feeling a little looney this week, and the full moon explains it, lol!! Always ache more! Yes, time does seem to fly and I did see the half moon just a night or two ago it seems!! Beautiful shot! God's lights have not yet worn out!!

Okay what kind of camera do you have and telephoto lens size because I've taken pics of that beauty many times and I can't get that. I gotta start using the new one more. But even it won't do this. It's a Nikon 3100.

What wonderful photos. Have to say that your newest is your best, though. Your skills are growing!

Have you been up early enough to capture the Perseid meteor showers?

These are wonderful moon photos. I should have tried to get a picture last night, but I got busy and didn't do it. Clouds are moving in tonight, so I may not get a chance.

Your header is gorgeous! There is a house near our house that has had scafoling up since the 1980's. I heard it is so they don't have to pay taxes. The house is being worked on and it's a tax break where I live. Very strange.
I'm a salesperson at a trucking company. I have been working there for 31 years now. I have some pretty good clients and a huge project this month. My daughter works for me now so she can stay home with your daughter. She is so much fun, I hated for her to miss everything while watching other peoples children! LOL
Have a nice weekend!

Love your moon shots. I haven't taken any of those in quite a while. I noticed on the calendar earlier today that it's supposed to be a full moon tonight. I'll have to go take a peek
