Through The Wires

"Through the wire I see your tears,
I hear your voice falling on deaf ears
Through the wire comes joy and pain,
through the wire.
Through the wire Jesus saves
and the sun shines brightly.
Nona Hendryx

August sunset 2011

Did Jesus really die for us one day upon a tree?
Or was it just a hologram or technical wizardry?
Have the wonders of this modern age made you question what is true?
How a single man in a simple time could offer life anew?
How a sinless life, a cruel death, then a glorious life again
Could offer more to a desperate world than all the inventions of man?
If in your life the voice of God is sometimes hard to hear
With other voices calling, He doesn't touch your ear
Then set aside your laptop and all your fancy gear
open your bible, open your heart, let your Father draw near.

I've had plenty of experience with wires getting in the way of my pictures. I like the photos in this post -- and the words.

Ginny, that is an incredible sunset. Your first photo looks like the sun is burning through the wires, stunning. You really used the wires to your advantage in this post.

Your creative use of photos carries such a message for life. What we consider a hindrance (such as wires marring a beautiful sunset) God looks at as an opportunity to meet our needs, if we "unplug" from our distractions and our panic just long enough to choose to trust him even when we don't feel like we have any faith at all. Just like you saw beauty and opportunity in a "wired" sunset and provided a lovely message with the choice of verse and images.

Thanks for sending my thoughts in this direction today!

most of the time when I get wires in my photos i remove them, but in these the wires make it more beautiful. i especially like the shot in the header with the towers showing. it adds to the photo and does not take away from it. i read the poem 3 times and i don't get the through the wire part at all. the bottom part i get and agree with completely.

I was just thinking recently, "If only I could paint out those wires, I'd have some great pictures of the mountains!" Then here comes your blog, putting things in perspective. Yes, Jesus can see the beauty through the wires!

I think that there are so many out there filling our minds with doubts and questions. And people read book after book but neglect going to the bible for answers.

Ginny - I just moments ago read a report that leaders from our church are meeting/have met with leaders from the Mennonites. If you want to read about it, here's the link: http://www.faithnews.cc/2011/08/19/church-of-god-and-mennonite-church-usa-leaders-meet/
