Crooked Moose Houses

“There's nothing to match curling up with a good book when there's a repair job to be done around the house.”  ~Joe Ryan

Last year we were on a short trip, and we passed something very strange looking. In fact, so strange that I told Phil we just had to turn around and investigate. And this is what we saw as we turned off the highway and drove down the side street. A small neighborhood of tiny crooked houses for huge leafy moose to live in!!! The blue house was made to look like a ship. I think I have never come across something as strange as this, and was so glad to have my camera!!

The house owner is very creative and very good in landscaping as well.. brightens up the garden with the "human greens." :)

Oh my goodness, how cute. Ginny, I'm glad you and Phil turned around and went back to get some photos. Those houses are so unusual and so are the greenery moose.

Those are very interesting, whimsical houses. I like the color of the blue one. Of course, Mr. Moose himself is quite a character.

Hi Ginny, What a fun set of pictures. They brightened up what is lining up to be a snowy late afternoon here in Crossville, TN where I am at the moment. Have a great Thursday tomorrow!

I think you are a magnet for the unusual, or you are exceptionally observant, or both. And, of course, there is your partner in photography who maneuvers you up close for your "investigations."
