Sitting

"All man's troubles come from not knowing how to sit still in one room.” ~Blaise Pascal

Here is Phil with our his little cat, Cher. Cher was totally Phil's cat from the get go. He purrs when he is even near him. And he loves to sit with him in the morning and do morning devotions and read the bible along with him. I guess that's why they are so smitten with each other, they have something in common. Next thing you know, Cher will be wanting to put on pants and go to church with Phil. The bible says that Jesus is sitting at the right hand of God. and I think that one word is so important. Because when someone sits, he is done. And the work of Jesus is completely finished. Just like Cher's past captivity, we are all free because of Him.

The Chief Priest tried again, this time asking, “Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed?”
Jesus said, “Yes, I am, and you’ll see it yourself:
The Son of Man seated
At the right hand of the Mighty One,
Arriving on the clouds of heaven.”
Mark 14

Love the pics! Our little 4 pound dog, Cookie, does the same thing! Maybe she is part cat! By the way, she is feeling better. PTL.

Hi Ginny, Great photos . . .in regard to the comment you left on my blog, I have mixed feeling about that. One is that I think that church should be a place where we come in our best, as a sign of respect. Then the other is that it doesn't matter . . . the important thing is attending and being feed, watered and loved. I would rather see a person in shorts, than an empty seat :) I'm sure that you feel the same way . . . it is just not the way we were raised. about ladies wearing hats and gloves to church:
Have a lovely and joy filled week.
Your blogging sister, Connie :)

Okay....Cher is so dapper. But, I'm wondering why the name Cher? I think of Cher Bono [the entertainer].

That is such a precious bonding the two have. I loved this post Ginny.

Hope you have a great time taking the day off. And the busy is a good busy?!!!

It is a bit like our Tommie, he is always with me and the Golden Retriever Tessa is always with Kristel. Excellent pictures.

Greetings,
Filip

Given half a chance, I'm sure the little stinker would like to be right on top of Phil's Bible. My Delaware likes to perch on my chest right under my chin when I'm on the computer. Good thing I can type by touch but still I have to nudge him about occasionally. Another little stinker.

Yes, just sitting is a great thing to do - just BE. We don't always have to be running to and fro. Blessings to you on your day off!

Oh, my....Puss Puss is just like that by Roger. She just totally adores him. But when she was little, he would come home from work...give me a kiss, and then bend over and pick her up and carry her into the dining room. Petting her as they go. He would sit down and pet her just a tiny bit more, then she would get down and help him take off his work shoes.
